Gig
Palace, Melbourne, Australia Supported by Underground Lovers, Autohaze, Ripe
I still remember “Nowhere” (The song) was played last, and it was something awesome to behold live. The crowd silently exhaled after that in respect before the cheers for more encores. A great night for all with a bonus for me having a family friend playing lead guitar for “Ripe” beforehand.
My partner (and mother of our child ) happened to see you the day earlier at Melboune University also.
We still have the Pop Art inspired poster for the combined Gigs framed, and still up on a wall at our home.
I’m from UK and was backpacking in australia at the time – I couldn’t believe my luck that the very day I arrived in Melbourne Ride were playing that evening – so I got a ticket and had a great night. Did anyone record the setlist? I looked on setlist.fm but it’s not there …
Would you upload a photo or scan of that Pop Art poster for us to see, Charles? I don’t think I remember that one and it sounds pretty cool.
